Flanders: number of biomethane sites doubles to 12, says Biogas-E

According to the annual report of the Flemish platform Biogas-E, 133 biogas plants produced 691 GWh of electricity and 811 GWh of heat in 2025, and biomethane output reached 186 GWh.

Biomethane: 837 sites inject in France, but commissioning slows down

At 30 June 2026, 837 plants were injecting biomethane with a capacity of 16.2 TWh/yr; capacity added in the first half fell 33% year on year while the project queue keeps growing.
